Apex Home Healthcare in Ormond, Florida is hiring a PRN Home Health Speech Therapist / Speech Language Pathologist to join a passionate team. This role partners with UnitedHealth Group and the Optum family to deliver compassionate care to patients in their homes.

The position requires licensed speech therapy practice in the resident state, and includes a comprehensive benefits package and a competitive hourly pay range, with weekend rotation availability.

Qualifications

• Licensed in Speech Therapy in the state of residence.
• Current driver's license, vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation.
• CPR certification or ability to complete within 90 days of hire.
• Available to work a weekend rotation.

Responsibilities

• Provides services within the scope of practice as defined by state laws governing speech therapy, in accordance with the plan of care, and in coordination with other health care team members.
• Evaluates patient function and assists in developing the therapy plan of care.
• Treats patients to improve communication, swallowing, and cognitive function.
• Observes and reports patient responses and changes in condition to supervising staff.
• Instructs patient, family, and caregivers in speech therapy activities.
