Responsibilities

Job Summary

The Home and Community-Based Services Aide provides support and assistance with personal hygiene and household tasks, enabling individuals to remain in their own homes.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living such as bathing (bed, tub, or shower), hair care (shampoo, combing, brushing), denture and oral care, nail care, skin care, and transfers (bed to chair, wheelchair, bedpan, toilet).
• Report observations of the client's condition to the agency director or manager.
• Drive safely, adhere to traffic laws, and wear a seat belt during travel.
• Assist with household tasks essential to clients' personal care.

Education and Experience

Experience Desired

• Six months of home care experience preferred.
• Successful completion of a competency evaluation.

License Requirements

• Valid driver's license, vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation.
• Current CPR certification.

State-Specific Requirements

• KY, OH, MO, NC: No additional requirements.

Skill Requirements

• Flexible hours to meet client needs.
• Ability to work independently and adapt to any home situation regardless of client demographics.
• Excellent communication, writing, and organizational skills.
