Responsibilities:

  • Assist with personal care tasks, such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
  • Administer medications and perform basic medical procedures as directed by healthcare professionals.
  • Plan and prepare nutritious meals according to the individual's dietary requirements.
  • Assist with mobility and transfer activities, such as transferring from bed to wheelchair or vice versa.
  • Keep living areas clean and tidy, including laundry and light housekeeping tasks.
  • Monitor and report changes in the individual's health, behavior, or mood to healthcare professionals and family members.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to promote the individual's social and emotional well-being.

Skills Required:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Prefer experience in a human services field – or experience with individuals with disabilities
  • Be 18 years or older
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
  • Must pass criminal background and drug screen
  • Provide proof of a negative TB test or a chest x-ray that is less than 1 year old.
