Responsibilities

Job Summary

The Home and Community-Based Services Aide provides support, assistance with personal hygiene, and household functions to help individuals remain in their own homes.

Specific Job Duties/Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living such as bathing, hair care, oral care, nail care, skin care, and transfers.
• Report observations of the client's condition to the agency manager.
• Drive safely, comply with traffic laws, and wear a seatbelt when traveling for work.
• Assist with household tasks essential to clients' personal care.

Education and Experience

• Six months experience in home care preferred.
• Successful completion of a competency evaluation.

License Requirements

• Current driver's license, vehicle insurance, access to reliable transportation.
• Current CPR certification.

State Specific Requirements

• KY, OH, MO, NC: No additional requirements.

Skill Requirements

• Ability to work flexible hours as needed.
• Ability to work independently in any home situation regardless of client background.
• Strong communication, writing, and organizational skills.
