Job summary

Ideal candidates have a GED or high school diploma and may be a recent graduate from a histology program or have 1 year of surgical pathology lab experience; 3 years of experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• Recent graduate from an accredited histology program required or one (1) year of technical experience in a surgical pathology laboratory.
• Three years experience in a surgical pathology laboratory preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cutting, staining and preparing tissue samples for the pathologist to review.
• Prioritize testing procedures and complete them accurately and timely.
• Maintain proper records of all tests in accordance with established policies and regulations.
