Henry Ford St. John Children’s Hospital seeks a PRN/Contingent General Pediatrician to provide flexible, as-needed clinical coverage across outpatient and newborn care settings in Detroit, MI. This non-benefited role supports vacation coverage, surge staffing, and gaps in the schedule.

The position is employed within the Henry Ford Medical Group, offering hourly compensation with no benefits and opportunities to practice in both private and academic-affiliated nursery settings.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Pediatric Residency Program.
• Board eligible or board certified in General Pediatrics.
• Experience in outpatient pediatrics and/or newborn care preferred.
• Comfort supervising pediatric residents and NNPs is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Outpatient direct patient care in busy pediatric settings (well and sick visits).
• Supervisory care in the Special Care Nursery overseeing residents/NNPs.
• Oversee newborn care in the Newborn nursery as needed.
• Support coverage during peak demand periods and planned absences.
