Job summary

Houston Methodist is hiring System Float Pool Registered Nurse (RN) PRN to float among Baytown, Medical Center, Willowbrook, The Woodlands, Sugar Land, Clear Lake, West, Cypress campuses. This role offers full-time and PRN opportunities across shifts, with leadership and mentorship expectations.

The RN will perform nursing assessments, administer medications, educate patients and families, document care, and collaborate with physicians and interprofessional teams to ensure safe, high-quality

Qualifications

• Graduate of education program approved by the credentialing body for the required credential(s) indicated below in the Certifications, Licenses and Registrations section
• Two years of registered nurse experience in a healthcare environment
• RN license in Texas with PSV Compact/licensure requirements and additional certifications (BLS, NRP)

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care, including assessments, exams and treatments.
• Develops, updates and communicates plans of care with patients and families.
• Mentors staff and students, participates in unit governance and education.
