Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare Southeast is seeking a Float Pool Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Internal Resource Team. You will float across medical/surgical and telemetry units, delivering professional nursing care and complex treatment plans while maintaining patient safety and quality outcomes.

The role supports a rotating 3-day-per-week schedule with weekend rotations, requiring current Texas RN licensure, BLS, and Med-Surg experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited diploma, associates, or baccalaureate degree nursing program.
• Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact license.
• Current BLS from American Heart Association.
• 1 year of clinical Med-Surg experience as an RN in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Float to other areas in the facility within competency range.
• Provide professional nursing care across acute inpatient units including medical/surgical and telemetry.
• Deliver comprehensive nursing assessments, plans of care, and post-operative care.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team to ensure patient safety and efficient operations.
