UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh is hiring Full-Time Nurses to support our PRN department. Our PRN nurses float to various units to support the entire hospital. PRN nurses work on a rotating schedule from 7-7, 36 hours per week.

This position generously provides a 10% rate differential for all shifts. We offer a robust career ladder for bedside nursing that starts with Professional Staff Nurse and leads to Expert Nurse and beyond.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current license
• CPR/BLS certified
• Excellent communication and teamwork

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to assigned patients within rotating units
• Participate in quality improvement and patient satisfaction initiatives
• Document care and collaborate with physicians and staff
• Teach patients and families about care plans and procedures
• Demonstrate critical thinking and clinical judgment in care decisions
• Maintain standards of practice and participate in governance activities
