Job summary

RAYUS Radiology is seeking a Float Mammography Technologist to operate mammography scanners and produce diagnostic images with patient-centered care. You will screen patients, position them appropriately, and ensure high-quality imaging while maintaining safety and accuracy per MQSA standards.

This temporary/PRN role requires ARRT registration, state licensure, CPR, and ongoing CEU compliance. The position supports imaging protocols and technology updates within a dynamic radiology department.

Qualifications

• Must have completed AMA approved radiography program.
• ARRT registered technologist in good standing.
• Licensed Radiologic Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Must competently perform mammography procedures independently.
• Continued CEU credits in modality as required by MQSA/state law.

Responsibilities

• Operate assigned Mammography scanners to produce diagnostic images.
• Screen patients before exams using two identifiers.
• Explain procedures and position patients for optimal imaging.
• Adjust scan parameters with dose reduction techniques as needed.
• Follow physician orders, maintain RIS records, and ensure safety.
• Maintain clean, organized work area and comply with accreditation standards.
