Job summary

Thayer County Health Services in Hebron, NE seeks a Fitness Instructor (PRN) to lead group classes and provide personalized training in a welcoming, professional Wellness Center. The role requires energy, strong communication, and a commitment to safety and client success.

You will work with a friendly team to promote health and wellness, set up equipment, and ensure high-quality customer service for all participants.

Qualifications

• Certified in the classes being taught.
• Personal Training Certification (if applicable).
• Knowledgeable about equipment use required for courses taught.
• Knowledgeable about health and fitness and able to communicate knowledge effectively to customers.
• Reliable, responsible and mature with ability to motivate others.
• Self-motivated, takes initiative and can work without supervision.
• CPR and first aid certification, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sets up class equipment as needed.
• Reports any incident to supervisor.
• Performs health risk and safety assessments with clients before and during training sessions.
• Communicates with members and clients during classes and sessions.
• Promotes health and wellness while upholding Wellness Center standards.
• Greets guests with a smile and upholds great customer service.
• Informs front desk of pertinent information at shift end.
• Notifies supervisor of any issues from members or guests.
• Ensures participants sign in and waiver is on file.
• Assists with lifting and storing equipment for events.
• Cleans and puts away equipment after each class.
• All other tasks as assigned.
