Job summary

Optum in Santa Monica, CA is seeking a PRN RN Field Assessor to perform Long Term Care insurance assessments. You will collect demographics, physician information, and medication lists while evaluating the claimant's functional independence.

The ideal candidate will use a laptop or tablet to document in real time, assess ADL/IADL and cognitive function, and work independently in home environments. Some travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted RN licensure in the state of practice.
• Current driver's license, vehicle insurance and access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation.
• Current CPR certification.
• Ability to function in any home situation regardless of client background.

Responsibilities

• Complete Long Term Care insurance assessments and collect claimant information.
• Obtain demographics, physician information, and current medication lists.
• Evaluate claimant's functional level of independence and perform cognitive screening.
• Assess ADL and IADL capabilities; document in real-time via laptop/tablet.
