Job summary

Community Health Systems is seeking a PRN Environmental Services Worker I to support the Housekeeping department at Mat-Su Regional Medical Center in Palmer, AK. The role focuses on keeping patient areas clean and safe in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

You will perform cleaning, floor care, waste management, and assist with supply restocking, while adhering to infection control and HIPAA protocols. Shifts are on-call and based on department needs.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of cleaning or environmental service experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Cleans and sanitizes assigned areas in alignment with infection control standards.
• Operates and maintains cleaning equipment effectively and safely.
• Performs floor care including sweeping, mopping, and carpet maintenance; restores surfaces as needed.
• Restocks supplies and reports shortages to ensure continuous availability.
• Handles trash and biohazardous materials per safety protocols, including HIPAA requirements.
