Job summary

Intermountain Health in Las Vegas, NV is seeking a Physician in Endocrinology and Diabetology to join a team focused on quality patient care and experience. The role involves a mix of in-person and telehealth with RN, CDEs and RDs support, under strong Medical Director leadership.

Board eligibility/certification in Endocrinology is required, with Nevada license or ability to obtain. PRN schedule, and quarterly provider and director meetings are standard.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Residency in Internal Medicine.
• Board certification or eligibility in Endocrinology.
• Active Nevada medical license or ability to obtain one.
• Ability to complete Intermountain Health credentialing process.

Responsibilities

• Provide endocrinology and diabetology care for adult patients.
• Mix of in-person and telehealth visits.
• Collaborate with RN clinical staff, CDEs and RDs; support leadership.
• Attend quarterly Endo provider meetings and director check-ins.

About this role

As a Physician in Endocrinology and Diabetology , you will work with a team of healthcare professionals committed to providing quality care and excellent patient experience. In this role you will focus on the endocrine system, including metabolism, growth, and mood. Manage conditions such as diabetes, thyroid disorders, adrenal insufficiency, and reproductive hormone imbalances.

• You will practiceon an as needed basis
• Mix of in person and tele health
• You will have RN clinical support, partnership with CDEs and RDs
• Strong Medical Director leadership/support
• Quarterly all Endo provider meeting
• Quarterly medical director & provider check-ins

Position Details

• Work Schedule: PRN
• Avg Daily Patient Census: 18-22 patients/day
• Must be comfortable with managing controlled substances, chronic/complex/multi conditions and such as diabetes
• No Call
• Work environment is fast paced

What you'll bring

• MD or DO degree from a fully accredited medical or osteopathic school of medicine
• Residency training in Internal Medicine
• Board certification or eligibility in Endocrinology
• Active, unobstructed Nevada medical license, or the ability to obtain one
• Ability to successfully complete Intermountain Health's credentialing process
