Job summary

Medcor is seeking a PRN Onsite Health Technician to support employer-based clinics in Brea and Irvine, CA. EMT or Paramedic certification is required, with CPR/BLS as a must. You will provide basic primary and urgent care, emergency response, and workers' compensation support.

Flexible PRN/as-needed schedule with day and evening shifts. Great for supplementing current EMS or healthcare roles, with training and support from Medcor teams.

Qualifications

• Current EMT or Paramedic certification/licensure.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Strong patient assessment and clinical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong computer and technology skills, including EMR.
• Ability to lift and carry a 50-pound emergency response bag.
• Strong customer-service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with clinical and operational teams.
• Professional, dependable, and patient-focused approach to care.

Responsibilities

• Assess and treat workplace injuries and illnesses using Medcor's protocols.
• Provide basic primary and urgent care within scope of role.
• Give first aid and emergency response when needed.
• Support workers' compensation case management.
• Facilitate Return-to-Work programs and coordinate with providers.
• Conduct pre-employment and post-offer screenings.
• Perform PATs and document patient care in EMR.
• Maintain accurate and timely medical charts and OSHA records.
