Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must maintain CEU hours for EMT/CPR.
• Experience with investigations of incidents and conflicts.
• Experience using an ambulance.
• Experience using oxygen tank, airways, suction, respirator and heart monitor.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions and manuals.
• Ability to write reports and business correspondence.

Responsibilities

• Administers basic life support and transports patients as part of EMS team.
• Drives the emergency vehicle to designated locations per dispatcher.
• Maintains communications with dispatcher.
• Assists in removing victims from scenes when needed.
• Assesses illness or injury and follows medical protocols.
• Maintains and replenishes medical and communication equipment.
• Adheres to safety regulations and performs under stress.
