Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Administers advanced life support and transports sick or injured persons.
• Monitors communication equipment to maintain contact with dispatcher.
• Determines nature and extent of illness or injury.
• May assist professional medical personnel in emergency treatment.

Skills

Basic level keyboarding skills

Experience with investigations of incidents and conflicts

Experience using an ambulance

Experience using an oxygen tank, air ways, suction equipment, respirator and heart monitor

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules

Ability to write reports and business correspondence

Ability to effectively present information

Ability to define problems and draw valid conclusions

Education

High school diploma or GED
