Job summary

Mayo Clinic in Wisconsin is seeking an EMG Technician to perform nerve conduction studies and support the EMG portion of procedures. You will provide accurate evaluations and help maintain quality of care while collaborating with physicians and the health care team.

This part-time, PRN schedule requires completion of an approved EMG program or equivalent, a Neurodiagnostics degree, and the ability to read and communicate in English. Travel to Barron and Menomonie may be required.

Qualifications

• Completion of an approved EMG program or equivalent experience in neurosciences.
• Two year degree in Neurodiagnostics or related field is required.
• Demonstrates competency in the EMG Technician role.
• Ability to monitor and analyze EMG and other neurophysiology wave patterns.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to read and communicate effectively in English. Demonstrates skills in leadership, problem-solving, continuous improvement, verbal and written communication and team building.
• Basic improvement concepts and techniques.
• Flexibility in order to accommodate patient/department needs.

Responsibilities

• Perform nerve conductions and assist the provider with the EMG portion of the procedure.
• Provide accurate and efficient evaluation of this information and also perform clerical duties as necessary to support the department.
• Maintain regulatory requirements, nursing and clinic policies, procedures and standards.
• Communicate with physicians and team members about patient\'s condition, including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology.
