Job summary

ProHealth Care in Wisconsin seeks an Electroneurodiagnostic Technician to perform and maintain competency in EEGs across inpatients, outpatients, and the Neuroscience Center. This role involves applying electrodes at standard positions, calibrating equipment, and selecting montages based on each case.

Responsibilities include preparing patients, explaining procedures, troubleshooting equipment, recognizing artifacts, and learning the EPIC system to document results.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association or ability to obtain upon hire.
• Registered Polysomnography Technologist or Registered Electrodiagnostic Technician within one year of hire.
• Specialist expertise in neurodiagnostics preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform and maintain competency in electroencephalograms for inpatient, outpatient, and clinic settings.
• Prepare patient for exam, gather history, and explain procedures to patient and family.
• Position patients and operate/adjust testing equipment for optimal recordings.
• Recognize artifacts and document or mitigate them; troubleshoot equipment as needed.
• Learn EPIC charting system and document results accurately.
• Transport and assist patients, using proper lifting techniques.
