Job summary
USA Health in Mobile, Alabama seeks a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to deliver compassionate, evidence-based care across our multidisciplinary teams. Qualifications
- Requires BSN and completion of an approved nurse practitioner program.
- AL RN/NP licensure or credentialing for USA Hospital privileges.
- Certification as a Nurse Practitioner; or physician assistant licensure within 60 days.
- Equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute for the above requirements.
Responsibilities
- Provides family-centered care according to policies and Nurse Practice Act.
- Provides timely, courteous, and efficacious care to patients.
- Examines, diagnoses, and prescribes treatments and medications.
- Performs or orders tests and/or procedures for a variety of diseases and injuries.
- Refers to medical specialists for consultation.
- Communicates with patients' primary physician as indicated.
- Maintains patient records and completes charge documents for billing.
