Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in nursing from an accredited institution and completion of a Nurse Practitioner training program Required
• Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant training program Required
• CRNP - Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner with the State of Alabama Upon Hire Required
• Licensure with the state of Alabama as a Nurse Practitioner and Registered Nurse Upon Hire Required
• Licensure with the state of Alabama to practice as a Physician Assistant within 60 Days Required
• Ability to be credentialed for USA Hospital privileges Required
• Comparable combination of education and experience may substitute for the above requirements.

Responsibilities

• Practices family centered care according to policies and Nurse Practice Act
• Provides timely, courteous, and efficacious care to patients
• Examines, diagnoses, and prescribes treatments and medications
• Performs or orders tests and/or procedures for a variety of diseases and injuries using medical instruments and equipment
• Refers to medical specialists for consultation
• Communicates with patients' primary physician as indicated
• Maintains patient and medical records and completes charge documents and code records for billing purposes
• Adheres to current Infection Control and Safety Standards
