Job summary

TriStar Centennial Medical Center is seeking a PRN EEG Tech to join our team. The EEG Tech will prepare patients, perform EEGs and related tests, and support physicians and staff within the hospital.

The role emphasizes compassionate patient care, equipment proficiency, and accurate documentation, with ABRET credentials preferred and PRN scheduling available.

Qualifications

  • BLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • ABRET REEGT credentials preferred.
  • Completion of ABRET program preferred.
  • One year of EEG tech experience preferred.
  • Ability to work on a PRN basis.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients and perform EEGs, Ambulatory EEGs, BAERs, VEP and related tests.
  • Deliver compassionate, holistic care while respecting patient rights and dignity.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of department equipment and procedures.
  • Operate EEG, EMG and Evoked Potential equipment.
  • Maintain accurate patient files and records.
  • Reconcile procedure and supply charges.

Job Summary And Qualifications

The EEG Tech functions as a resource person to physicians and their staff, family members and hospital staff. Prepare patients and perform Electroencephalograms, Ambulatory EEGs, BAERs, VEP and other tests within their scope of practice.

What you will do in this role
  • Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide appropriate care for patient populations served in the department.
  • Deliver compassionate, holistic care, while supporting the rights and dignity of all patients.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of equipment and procedures for the department.
  • Operate EEG, EMG and Evoked Potential equipment.
  • Maintain patient files.
  • Reconcile procedure and supply charges.
Qualifications you will need
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • National credentials by the ABRET for REEGT preferred.
  • Completion of ABRET program preferred.
  • One year of experience as EEG tech preferred.
  • Ability to work on a PRN basis.
