Job summary

Medical City McKinney is seeking an Echo Tech PRN to perform cardiac ultrasound independently, including M-Mode, 2-D, Doppler and Color Doppler studies. The role supports neonatal through geriatric patients, with proficiency in transesophageal and stress echocardiograms and strict adherence to safety and maintenance policies.

Qualifications include BCLS within 30 days, High School/GED, RDCS/RCS within 1 year, and preferred echocardiography training and 1 year of experience.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• High School Graduate / GED
• (RDCS) Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer, or (RCS) Registered Cardiac Sonographer must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
• College or technical training program for echocardiography preferred One year experience in Echocardiography preferred
• Pediatric echo registry highly preferred

Responsibilities

• The Echo Technician performs cardiac ultrasound without supervision, including M-Mode, 2-D, Doppler and Color Doppler studies.
• Proficient in Transesophageal and stress echocardiograms.
• Work with neonate to geriatric populations and ensure equipment safety and maintenance.
