Job summary

AVIR Health Group is seeking a qualified Dietary Cook to join our family. This PRN position requires residency and a team-oriented approach to prepare high-quality foods for residents, guests, and staff, while following state health regulations and facility standards.

The role offers Daily Pay options and a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance for the family, 401k with match, and PTO. Walk-ins welcome daily as we build a caring community.

Qualifications

• Culinary/food service experience in a health care facility preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous nursing home experience preferred.
• Previous office experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilize a variety of cooking and food preparation equipment and techniques.
• Prepare simple food regimes and basic modified diets for residents.
• Adjust recipes to yield the required number of servings.
• Test recipes and recommend changes in recipes.
• Prepare and cook food in batches, maintaining quality and appeal.
• Directs activities of one or more workers who assist in preparing and serving meals.

We are searching for aPRN Dietary Cook that is resident, and family-focused, a team builder, and excited about the opportunity to assist in building a facility culture. The purpose of this role is to prepare and cook high-quality foods for all regular and modified diets, serving residents, guests, and employees. Ensure all preparation and cooking strictly adheres to State Department of Health Rules and Regulations and established facility standards.
