Job summary

Concerto Renal Services seeks a PRN Dialysis Technician to provide safe and effective dialysis therapy under the supervision of a licensed nurse. You will perform hands-on patient care, monitor vitals, set up and operate dialysis machines, document treatments, and ensure a clean, supportive environment for patients.

Required are a high school diploma, current CPR or completion on start, dialysis certification, and at least two years of dialysis tech experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Current CPR Certification or completion upon starting in unit.
• Dialysis certification required.
• Minimum of two years of dialysis technician experience.
• Physically able to perform duties in a clinical setting.

Responsibilities

• Direct Patient Care: provide hands-on care under a licensed nurse.
• Vital Signs & Monitoring: record vitals, weight, and assessments.
• Dialysis Machine Operation: set up, operate, and safety-check machines.
• Documentation & Lab Work: document treatments and prepare specimens.

The PRN Dialysis Technician functions as part of the hemodialysis health care team in providing safe and effective dialysis therapy for patients. Works under the supervision of a licensed nurse in accordance with Concerto’s policies, procedures, and training and in compliance with regulations set for by state and federal agencies.What Will You Do?1. Direct Patient CareProvides hands-on care to assigned patients under the supervision of a licensed nurse, including initiating and discontinuing dialysis treatments per prescribed orders.2. Vital Signs & MonitoringObtains and documents pre- and post-treatment vitals, weight, and vascular access assessments, reporting any unusual findings to the nurse.3. Dialysis Machine OperationSets up, operates, and performs safety checks on hemodialysis machines; administers heparin as permitted by state law.4. Documentation & Lab WorkAccurately documents patient treatment details and prepares laboratory specimens as prescribed.5.
