Job summary

Concerto Renal Services is seeking a PRN Dialysis Technician to join its team, providing safe and effective dialysis therapy under supervision in a skilled care setting.

You will perform direct patient care, monitor vitals, set up and operate dialysis machines, and document treatments while maintaining a clean, safe environment.

A minimum of two years of dialysis technician experience and dialysis certification are required.

Responsibilities

• Direct Patient Care: Provide hands-on care under nurse supervision, initiating and discontinuing dialysis per orders.
• Vital Signs & Monitoring: Record pre-/post-treatment vitals, weight, and access assessments; report anomalies.
• Dialysis Machine Operation: Set up, operate, and safety-check machines; administer heparin as permitted by law.
• Documentation & Lab Work: Accurately document treatments and prepare lab specimens as prescribed.
• Customer Service & Environment: Maintain a safe, clean, and patient-focused environment.

The PRN Dialysis Technician functions as part of the hemodialysis health care team in providing safe and effective dialysis therapy for patients. Works under the supervision of a licensed nurse in accordance with Concerto’s policies, procedures, and training and in compliance with regulations set for by state and federal agencies.What Will You Do?1. Direct Patient CareProvides hands-on care to assigned patients under the supervision of a licensed nurse, including initiating and discontinuing dialysis treatments per prescribed orders.2. Vital Signs & MonitoringObtains and documents pre- and post-treatment vitals, weight, and vascular access assessments, reporting any unusual findings to the nurse.3. Dialysis Machine OperationSets up, operates, and performs safety checks on hemodialysis machines; administers heparin as permitted by state law.4. Documentation & Lab WorkAccurately documents patient treatment details and prepares laboratory specimens as prescribed.5.
