Responsibilities

• Direct patient care under supervision, initiating and discontinuing dialysis per orders.
• Obtain and document pre- and post-treatment vitals, weight, and access assessments.
• Set up, operate, and perform safety checks on hemodialysis machines; administer heparin as permitted by state law.
• Accurately document treatment details and prepare laboratory specimens.
• Provide excellent service to patients, families, and staff while maintaining a clean, safe environment.

The PRN Dialysis Technician functions as part of the hemodialysis health care team in providing safe and effective dialysis therapy for patients. Works under the supervision of a licensed nurse in accordance with Concerto’s policies, procedures, and training and in compliance with regulations set for by state and federal agencies.What Will You Do?1. Direct Patient CareProvides hands-on care to assigned patients under the supervision of a licensed nurse, including initiating and discontinuing dialysis treatments per prescribed orders.2. Vital Signs & MonitoringObtains and documents pre- and post-treatment vitals, weight, and vascular access assessments, reporting any unusual findings to the nurse.3. Dialysis Machine OperationSets up, operates, and performs safety checks on hemodialysis machines; administers heparin as permitted by state law.4.
