Job summary

QualDerm Partners is seeking a Dermatology Medical Assistant to join our Pinehurst, NC team on a PRN, as-needed basis. You will support providers, prepare patients, and help maintain efficient clinic operations with a focus on dermatology care.

The role involves taking vital signs, assisting during exams, handling specimens, maintaining records, and educating patients on skincare. Prior MA experience and dermatology terminology knowledge are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Medical Assistant certification preferred.
• Prior experience as a Medical Assistant or in a clinical setting is highly desirable.
• Understanding of medical terminology, especially in dermatology.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with patients and staff.
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, particularly in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and basic office applications is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Preparing patients for examinations by recording vital signs and medical histories
• Assisting providers during examinations and procedures
• Preparing instruments, equipment, and procedure rooms
• Conducting basic laboratory tests and handling specimens for analysis
• Maintaining accurate, confidential patient records
• Coordinating patient scheduling and office communications
• Educating patients about treatments, medications, and appropriate skincare
• Keeping examination rooms clean, organized, and fully stocked
