Job summary

Fort Jesse Imaging Center in Normal, IL seeks an experienced PRN CT Technologist to join our outpatient imaging team. You will perform high-quality CT scans, position patients, review orders, and maintain ALARA principles.

Requirements include an Associates Degree in Radiology, ARRT registration with CT, up to 2 years CT tech experience, and ability to work independently on a flexible PRN schedule. We offer competitive pay and shift differentials.

Qualifications

• Requires an Associates Degree in Radiology or graduate of an accredited two-year radiology program.
• ARRT registration in Radiography with CT registry required upon hire for IDTF centers; CT advanced registry within first 12 months for non-IDTF centers.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT examinations using established protocols and procedures.
• Position and monitor patients during exams.
• Review patient history and verify physician orders prior to procedures.
• Perform venipuncture and establish IV access; administer contrast/medications as appropriate.
• Apply ALARA principles to minimize radiation exposure.
• Evaluate images for technical quality and identification.
• Perform point-of-care creatinine testing.
• Assist with CT-guided/interventional procedures as needed.
• Educate patients about procedures and provide compassionate care.
• Maintain CT equipment, exam rooms, and supplies.
• Participate in QA and performance improvement activities.
