Job summary

Fort Jesse Imaging Center in Normal, IL is seeking a PRN MRI Technologist to join our patient-focused team. The role involves performing routine and advanced MRI exams, preparing and monitoring patients, and ensuring high quality imaging.

Eligible candidates should have an Associate degree in Radiology, ARRT or ARMRIT registration, and MRI advanced registry; licensure as required by state. This on-site, part-time position offers shift variety, pay differentials, 401(k) match, and no on-call or

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Radiology or completion of an accredited two-year radiology program.
• Current ARRT registration or ARMRIT.
• MRI advanced registry required upon hire for IDTF centers or within 12 months of employment for non-IDTF centers.
• Must meet applicable state licensure requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and advanced MRI exams following established protocols.
• Prepare, position, and monitor patients throughout their exams.
• Review physician orders and patient history to ensure appropriate imaging.
• Start IVs and administer contrast or medications as appropriate.
• Ensure MRI images meet quality standards for interpretation.
• Follow all MRI safety procedures and screening requirements.
• Recognize and respond appropriately to emergency situations.
• Educate patients about procedures and answer questions.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation and imaging records.
• Assist with quality assurance activities and equipment/supply readiness.
• Maintain clean, organized, and prepared exam rooms.
• Work collaboratively with other technologists and imaging center staff.
• Assist in other areas of the imaging center as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
