Job summary

Fort Jesse Imaging Center in Normal, Illinois is seeking an experienced PRN CT Technologist to join our outpatient imaging team.

The CT Technologist performs CT exams, prepares patients, administers contrast as needed, applies ALARA principles, reviews orders, and maintains equipment while delivering compassionate patient care; ARRT radiography registration and CT registry required within 12 months of hire, with state licensure.

Qualifications

• Up to 2 years CT Technologist experience.
• Minimum Associate's Degree in Radiology or equivalent two-year radiology program.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT examinations using established protocols and procedures.
• Prepare, position, and monitor patients throughout exams.
• Review patient history and verify physician orders prior to procedures.
• Perform venipuncture, establish IV access, and administer contrast/medications as appropriate.
• Apply ALARA principles to minimize radiation exposure.
• Evaluate images for technical quality and proper identification.
• Perform point-of-care creatinine testing according to established protocols.
• Assist with CT-guided/interventional procedures as needed.
• Educate patients about procedures and provide compassionate, patient-centered care.
• Maintain CT equipment, exam rooms, supplies, and inventory.
• Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement activities.
• Support other areas of the imaging center as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Fort Jesse Imaging Center is seeking an experienced PRN CT Technologist to join our outpatient imaging team in Normal, Illinois.

Position Status: PRN
Schedule: As needed
Location: 2200 Fort Jesse Road, Suite 120, Normal, IL 61761

Position Overview:

The CT Technologist performs high-quality CT examinations while providing safe, efficient, and compassionate care to our patients. This position works closely with radiologists and the imaging team to ensure an excellent patient experience and accurate diagnostic imaging.

Requirements

EXPERIENCE:

• Up to 2 years experience as a CT Technologist

EDUCATION:

• Must have a minimum Associates Degree in Radiology or be a graduate of an accredited two-year radiology program.

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in Radiography and maintain current valid registration from ARRT. CT advanced registration through ARRT is required upon hire for IDTF centers. Non-IDTF centers require CT advanced registry within the first 12 months of employment. Additionally, must meet the state licensure requirement for the state in which they practice.

SKILLS/ABILITIES:

• Skill in operation of CT equipment as well as applicable ancillary equipment.
• Ability to work independently and multitask.
• Ability to provide documentation accurately and concisely.
• Demonstrates understanding of human cross-sectional anatomy, physiology, pathology, radiopharmacology, and medical terminology.
• Knowledge of computer applications, including information and billing systems, keyboard input, digital archiving, and retrieving of data.
