Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a CT Technologist I for the Atrium HealthSouthPark Emergency Department, a facility of Carolinas Medical Center. The incumbent will operate CT scanners, prepare patients, administer IV contrast, and coordinate with radiologists to ensure high-quality imaging and patient safety.

Qualifications

• ARRT radiology or NMTCB certification required.
• BLS certification required.
• Graduate of ARRT-recognized Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine program.

Responsibilities

• Examines requests and verifies orders; refer to Radiologist for discrepancies.
• Identify patients and provide explanations; prepare patients for procedures.
• Review patient EMRs to obtain clinical history and document on requisitions.
• Perform CT scans from start to finish and ensure radiologist collaboration.
• Prepare/ administer IV contrast per protocol; document contrast details.
• Ensure radiation safety and maintain equipment and sterile technique.
• Rotate shifts including call back, holidays, and weekends as needed.

Education

ARRT Radiology certification or NMTCB

ARRT CT registry (within 1 year of hire)

BLS certification
