Envision Imaging seeks a PRN CT Technologist at our Desoto, TX location!
PRN (As-Needed)|Position Pay Range: $34.05 - $43.92
Summary/Objective
The CT Technologist performs CT examinations, positions patients, and performs cross-section anatomical scans using proper technical factors and computer programs to provide images and numerical values of tissue density.
Essential Functions
- Interfaces with patients to ascertain medical history and provides instructions and explanations of procedures to obtain the best possible images.
- Reviews patient charts for missed clinical information and/or consent. Screens patients for surgical and other implants, contrast allergies, etc.
- Obtains prior films/exams as needed and performs high-quality scans to submit to the Radiologist for interpretation.
- Performs exams while attending to patient care before, during, and after the exam, and notifies appropriate parties if patient’s condition changes.
- Transfers images to other locations as needed.
- Coordinates scan protocols with Radiologist.
- Maintains and regularly inspects equipment and reports any quality concerns, failures, or deficiencies.
- Interfaces with Lead Technologist & Center/Area Manager regarding departmental concerns.

Supervisory ResponsibilitiesThis position has no supervision responsibilities.
Work EnvironmentThis job operates in an environmentally controlled outpatient clinical environment. Potential exposure to radiation minimized by PPE. Possible exposure to bodily fluids, infectious diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, and other conditions common to a medical office. Often requires work in cool, dimly lit rooms.
Physical DemandsWhile performing duties, may exert up to 50 pounds occasionally, 30 pounds frequently, and 10 pounds constantly. Regularly required to use hands and fingers, reach with arms, talk, and hear. Specific vision abilities include close vision and focus adjustment.
TravelNo travel expected.
Job QualificationsMinimum Qualifications/Experience:
- Two+ years’ experience in CT (preferred)
- Ability to educate patients on procedures
- Detail-oriented, self-motivated, problem solver, team player
- Ability to navigate multiple computer screens quickly and accurately
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills & professional demeanor
Education/Certifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Registered Technologist program
- Current ARRT certification
- Registry in CT
- Current state medical license (if applicable)
- Current CPR certification
Additional Eligibility Qualifications: None required.
