Job summary

Las Palmas Medical Center, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a CT Technician II PRN for our El Paso campus. Under general supervision, you will operate CT equipment, position patients and ensure safe, high-quality imaging for diagnostic purposes.

You will perform data reconstruction, verify exam adequacy, maintain patient records, and adhere to radiation safety standards while delivering patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent.
• Associates Degree.
• Knowledge of axial anatomy.

Responsibilities

• Operates C.T. equipment to make radiographic scans of designated portions of body.
• Adjusts equipment and patient to correct positions for each examination.
• Instructs and explains procedures to patients.
• Selects proper technical factors for each patient.
• Performs reconstruction and special processing of data.
• Evaluates completed radiographs/scans for positioning, technique and adequacy.
• Records and maintains data on magnetic disc, PACS, and logs.
• Demonstrates Customer Service/Service Plus principles.
• Adheres to Radiation Safety; participates in safety programs.
