Job summary

Overland Park Regional Medical Center in Overland Park, Kansas, seeks a PRN Critical Care Intensivist to join the ICU team. The role supports the 35-bed ICU (MSICU 25 beds, CVICU 10 beds) with 12-hour shifts and a mix of day and night coverage.

Candidates must be Critical Care board eligible or board certified, possess Kansas licensure (or ability to obtain), and be available for 4–6 shifts per month. The position includes teaching GME residents and cardiac fellows and offers competitive hourly

Qualifications

• Board-certified/board-eligible in Critical Care.
• Licensed to practice medicine in Kansas (or ability to obtain).
• PRN role requiring 4–6 shifts per month.
• 12-hour ICU shifts covering 35 beds (MSICU 25, CVICU 10).
• Two MDs during the day, one at night.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside critical care in the 25-bed MSICU and 10-bed CVICU.
• Collaborate with GME residents and Cardiac Fellows.
• Participate in the scheduling and coverage for ICU services.

Description

Specializations include:

• Critical Care Nephrology
• Critical Care Anesthesiology
• Critical Care Internal Medicine
• Critical Care Pulmonary
• Critical Care Emergency Medicine

Qualified Candidates

• Must be critical care board eligible or board certified (all specialties will be considered)
• Kansas licensure or ability to obtain
• Ability to work PRN, 4-6 shifts per month
• Mix of days and nights
• 12-hour shifts covering 35 ICU beds (25 bed MSICU and 10 bed CVICU)
• 2 MDs during the day, 1 MD at night
• Clinical Bedside Teaching to support GME, IM Residents and Cardiac Fellows
