Job summary

Stern Therapy Consultants in Sudbury, MA is hiring a PRN Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to support Bear Mountain residents with rehabilitation and daily living activities in a skilled nursing environment.

You will work under the supervision of an OT, carry out individualized treatments, document progress, and collaborate with nursing staff to ensure continuity of care. Previous SNF experience is helpful; new grads are welcome.

Qualifications

• Active Massachusetts Occupational Therapy Assistant license and COTA certification.
• Strong interpersonal skills and attention to residents' individual needs.
• Ability to follow established treatment plans and complete accurate documentation.
• Skilled nursing experience is helpful; new graduates are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

• Carry out individualized occupational therapy treatments under the direction of the supervising OT.
• Practice daily living skills with residents, using graded activities to support dressing, grooming, bathing, and toileting.
• Incorporate prescribed exercises and functional tasks that address upper-body strength, coordination, and activity tolerance.
• Reinforce techniques for adaptive equipment, energy conservation, and safe participation in daily routines.
• Observe residents' responses and share changes in performance or assistance needs with the OT.
• Keep treatment records current and coordinate with nursing and other therapists to support continuity of care.
