Job summary

KPC Promise Skilled Nursing Facility of Baton Rouge in Baton Rouge, LA seeks a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) PRN to provide patient-focused occupational therapy under the supervision of an OT. Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program, certification by AOTA.
• Must hold a current state license and license renewal in accordance with the State Board of Medical Examiners or State Board of Occupational Therapy.
• Long term acute care and rehabilitation experience is preferred.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English, as well as possess good verbal and written communications skills.
• Basic computer skills with minimal guidance.

Responsibilities

• Provides OT services under general supervision of the Occupational Therapist, including assisting with patient assessment, treating individual patients and patient groups; delivering home program, patient, and family instructions; participating in family and team conferences; conducting equipment inventory, maintenance, and orders; and documenting services according to departmental and hospital standards.
