Job summary

Kinder Nursing Home – SNF in Kinder, LA seeks a compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to support rehabilitation on a PRN basis. Work with an interdisciplinary team in an acute care setting to advance patient independence and quality of life.

Under supervision of a licensed OT, you will implement individualized treatment plans, document progress, and communicate with physicians and families. Prior acute care exposure is preferred; strong clinical rotations are welcome.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Current Oklahoma Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in good standing.
• Current CPR certification.
• Acute care experience preferred; new graduates encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy treatments as established by the supervising Occupational Therapist.
• Assist patients in improving functional mobility and independence with daily living activities.
• Accurately document patient progress and treatment interventions in a timely manner.
• Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, therapists, patients, and family members.
• Monitor patient responses to treatment and report changes to the supervising Occupational Therapist.
• Maintain compliance with all hospital policies, state regulations, and professional standards.
