Job summary

Stern Therapy Consultants is seeking a PRN Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant for Autumn Lake at Southgate in Carneys Point, NJ. You will provide skilled nursing rehabilitation under the supervising OT plan of care, focusing on daily independence and safety.

Responsibilities include conducting sessions, assisting with daily living activities, and documenting progress while coordinating with the rehab team. NJ licensure and COTA certification required; new grads welcome.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey OT license and COTA certification.
• Ability to follow individualized treatment plans and resident-specific precautions.
• Strong communication, organization, and clinical documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct treatment sessions addressing functional OT goals.
• Assist residents with dressing, grooming, bathing, and toileting with appropriate cueing.
• Incorporate prescribed exercises to improve upper-extremity function and coordination.
• Reinforce adaptive equipment use and energy-conserving techniques.
• Observe changes and report findings to the supervising OT.
• Document interventions and progress and coordinate with nursing/rehab teams.
