Job summary

Camellia Gardens Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Henderson, NC seeks a PRN Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our rehab team and support residents on their journey to independence.

Under the supervision of an OT, you will implement treatment plans, guide therapeutic activities, document sessions, and collaborate with therapists, nurses, families, and staff to promote recovery and mobility in a long-term care setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Current state license/registration as a COTA.
• Experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting is a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist with patient movement.
• Strong communication and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver care and exercises based on treatment plans created by the OT.
• Assist residents with activities that support daily living and independence.
• Accurately document therapy sessions and track patient progress.
• Collaborate with therapists, nurses, and family members to support care goals.
• Educate residents, families, and staff on at-home and restorative programs.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and quality improvement programs.
• Float to nearby facilities if needed based on patient needs.
