Job summary

Claiborne Medical Center, part of Covenant Health, seeks a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for PRN/variable hours. Under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist, you will implement occupational therapy treatment programs and monitor patient progress.

You will document progress in medical records, assist with discharge planning, and coordinate care with the health team. CPR is required and Tennessee OT licensure is necessary.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: None specified; however, must be sufficient to meet the standards for license/certification.

Responsibilities

• Administers treatment programs per defined plan.
• Monitors patient progress and reports to supervising PT.
• Documents patient progress in medical records.
• Provides input for discharge planning with other health professionals.
• Coordinates with staff regarding patient progress and needs.
• Demonstrates knowledge for age-specific needs.
