Job summary

CoreCivic is seeking a Correctional Officer, PRN (As Needed) to ensure security and order within a Georgia facility. You will supervise inmates across housing units, meals, recreation, and work assignments, possibly using weapons to maintain discipline when needed.

Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED, complete required training, hold a valid driver's license, and be At least 18 years old, with flexibility to cover various shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must complete pre-service correctional officer training and, where applicable, be a non-commissioned security officer licensed by the state of employment.
• A valid driver's license is required.
• Must be available to work any hours, any shift.
• Minimum age requirement: must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Maintain order and security of inmates in a correctional facility.
• Able to work any shift and be posted to multiple posts including armory, housing units, kitchen, medical, visitation, etc.
• CoreCivic recognizes military service for eligibility in positions requiring criminal justice experience.
