Job summary

Phoenix Children's is seeking a PRN Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or RMA to join our Float Pool. This role offers flexible hours, the opportunity to work in multiple clinics, and travel between valley locations with mileage reimbursement.

A supportive team environment and professional growth are emphasized. The CMA/RMA works under supervision within the Medical Assistant scope, performing clinical and administrative tasks, maintaining patient safety, and upholding HIPAA and hospital policies

Qualifications

• RMA (AMT) or CMA (AAMA) certification current.
• Current BLS certification from AHA.
• Willingness to travel locally to all clinics within the valley.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and patient care skills.

Responsibilities

• Measure and record vital signs and patient histories in the EHR.
• Communicate patient information to the licensed health care provider.
• Perform ECGs and pulmonary function tests as part of CMA scope.
• Collect laboratory specimens and perform point-of-care testing.
• Prepare and administer medications with provider authorization.
• Maintain infection control and HIPAA compliance.
• Floats to multiple clinics as needed by hospital.
