Job summary

Evolution Research Group is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support clinical trials by overseeing patient care on unit, collecting samples, performing venipuncture, ECGs, and processing specimens. The role follows GCP, ICH, HIPAA, and ERG SOPs to ensure compliant study conduct.

Responsibilities include safety checks, sample handling, and maintaining a safe, organized unit while supporting subjects with meals and activities. CPR and phlebotomy credentials are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of clinical experience preferred.
• CPR certification required.
• Phlebotomy certification (national) preferred.
• Regulatory requirements knowledge (GCP/ICH).
• Good communication with providers, coworkers, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular safety and status checks on trial subjects housed on unit as ordered by physician.
• Carry out research protocol procedures including vital signs, blood collection, ECGs, and point-of-care tests.
• Prepare specimen tubes, label samples, centrifuge operations, and store/ship lab specimens.
• Ensure biological specimens are disposed of properly.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment for staff and subjects.
• Engage subjects in group or one-on-one activities while housed on unit.
