Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Pharmacist Clinical 1 PRN to provide pharmaceutical care to patients in a clinical setting. You will compound and dispense medications according to policies, and serve as a resource for healthcare professionals, including pharmacists, students, and residents.

Collaborates with Nursing, Medical Staff and patients about medications and drug details. You may assess, treat, and care for diverse patient populations, and supervise technicians while ensuring

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or equivalent work experience.
• Pharmacist (RPH) license/registration is required.
• Less than 1 year of experience is acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patient pharmaceutical care meets safety and efficacy standards.
• Compound and dispense medications per regulations and policies.
• Consult with nursing, medical staff and patients about medications and drug interactions.
• Review orders for accuracy, appropriateness, and potential interactions; adjust as needed.
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and ensure inventory and equipment readiness.
• Maintain narcotics and other drug records in compliance with law and policy.
• Participate in procurement, inventory, and quality control of medications.

Education

Bachelor’s degree or 4 years of work experience above the minimum qualification
