Job summary

Northside Hospital seeks a Clinical Dietitian I to provide nutrition services in inpatient and/or outpatient settings. The role involves performing nutritional assessments, crafting care plans, and initiating medical nutrition therapy tailored to the patient’s plan of care.

The Dietitian collaborates with Nutritional Services, Medical Staff, Nursing, and other departments to ensure integrated care and optimal patient outcomes in a dynamic hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Food Nutrition or Dietetics or related program.
• Registered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
• Current licensure as a Dietitian in the State of Georgia.

Responsibilities

Clinical Dietitian I provide services in the inpatient and/or outpatient setting. Prepares and implements nutritional assessments with care plans in accordance with departmental policy and standards of care. Prioritizes patients at high-risk by utilizing the multi-patient task list, MD consult/referral or by other means available. Initiates medical nutrition therapy interventions as part of the patient's individual plan of care. Functions as a liaison between the Nutritional Services Department, Medical Staff, Nursing Staff and other Ancillary Departments.

REQUIRED

1. Bachelor's degree or higher in Food Nutrition or Dietetics, or other nutrition related educational program.
2. Registered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
3. Current licensure as a Dietitian in the State of
