Job summary

Northside Hospital seeks a Clinical Dietitian I to provide nutrition services in inpatient and/or outpatient settings in the Atlanta area. You will perform nutritional assessments, develop care plans, and implement medical nutrition therapy as part of the patient’s plan of care.

The role requires collaboration with Medical Staff, Nursing, and other departments to support high-quality patient outcomes; RD credential and state licensure are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Food Nutrition or Dietetics, or other nutrition related educational program.
• Registered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
• Current licensure as a Dietitian in the State of Georgia.

Responsibilities

• Provide services in the inpatient and/or outpatient setting as a Clinical Dietitian I.
• Prepare and implement nutritional assessments with care plans in accordance with departmental policy and standards of care.
• Prioritize patients at high-risk using multi-patient task list, MD consult/referral, or other available means.
• Initiate medical nutrition therapy interventions as part of the patient’s individual plan of care.
• Act as liaison between the Nutritional Services Department, Medical Staff, Nursing Staff and other Ancillary Departments.
