Job summary

Eskenazi Health is seeking a PRN Chaplain to provide relief for the principal chaplaincy staff and to deliver ministerial services aligned with the incumbent's spiritual tradition. The role includes post-mortem care for decedents and related paperwork.

You will coordinate Spiritual Care responses in crises, support Haven of Hope spaces, and supervise volunteers. A Bachelor of Divinity and CPE are required, with ordination/endorsement in good standing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Divinity or equivalent degree required.
• Minimum of one unit of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE).
• Minimum of one year of ministerial experience (health care preferred).
• Must be ordained/commissioned/endorsed and in good standing.
• Valid Indiana driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Provide relief and coverage for the primary chaplain staff.
• Offer ministerial services aligned with your spiritual tradition.
• Provide respectful post-mortem care for decedents and families.
• Coordinate spiritual care response in crisis situations.
• Supervise volunteers and students in the department.
• Assist with Advance Directives and organ/tissue donation matters.
