Job summary

Bon Secours Surgery Center at Harbour View in Suffolk, VA, is seeking a PRN Certified Surgical Technologist to support USPI’s mission, scrub for procedures, and uphold safety and quality with a dedicated team.

Requirements include high school graduation, completion of a surgical technology program, and BLS; prior ambulatory center experience is preferred. Pay ranges from $25.02 to $36.27 per hour, with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must possess strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient.
• Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation.
• Independent decision making - ability to quickly adapt to changing conditions.
• Excellent customer service skills - must be an excellent team player and communicate with patients, employees, and medical staff.
• Advocate of patient safety and quality of care.

Responsibilities

• Scrubs for surgical procedures and assists as needed.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and staff to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Maintain sterile technique and instrument counts.
• Support department goals and patient care quality.
