Job summary

Eskenazi Health in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) - PRN, to join the operating room team and help ensure safe, efficient procedures. The CST will be responsible for handling instruments, supplies, and equipment, and will support the surgeon by anticipating needs throughout the operative phase.

The CST must have a minimum 2 years of CST experience, NBSTSA certification (or military equivalent with plan to obtain), 60 CE hours in 4 years, and current BLS.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of current CST experience.
• Current CST certification through NBSTSA (or military equivalent with plan to obtain).
• Complete 60 CE hours in a 4-year cycle with 15 CEUs annually.
• Current BLS certification.
• AST membership preferred.

Responsibilities

• Handle instruments, supplies, and equipment for surgical procedures.
• Anticipate the needs of the surgeon and maintain a sterile field.
• Contribute to safe patient care during the operative phase.
• Work as a team member of the operating room staff.
